WHERE WAS COUNTRY RADIO WHEN.... by Tom Lineaweaver Where was Country radio stations even when I worked in it? Even then they weren't playing artists they should have been. Here are a few of them...
Gene Davis had a distinguishing career, yet I never heard oh him, and I've been listening to Country all my life. This guy is so good. See what you think.Sadly, Gene has passed on 2008.Then there is Sandy Ellwanger Another good Country artist I never heard of since she got no airplay in my day. This is so good...I have heard of Rick Sousley, but not from Country radio. Found him on the internet. Give a listen, see what you think...I'm just going to share a few more songs from these three, and you tell, where was Country radio even when I worked in it.
So, it seems that even in the 70s Country radio were shying away from good Country artists like this.
Well, when WLNW is reality we will play all Country. WLNW is my dream station. It's a goal to either own a station, or it would be nice if someone bought me one. Then WLNW will be reality.
Folks, these artists did...COUNTRY MUSIC THE WAY IT SHOULD BE. SPECIAL NOTE: I wish to thank my new Facebook friend for introducing or reintroducing (Rick Sousley) to me. Thank you Denny.
