This is a song by Tom T. Hall, and it has been on my mind a lot lately, especially the phrase, "Old dogs care about you even when you make mistakes, and God bless little children while they're still too young to hate."
Tom T. Hall is one of the greatest story tellers in Country music. And this story is based on the words of "some old grey, black gentleman who was cleaning up the lounge."
