WHAT COUNTRY STATIONS SHOULD BE PLAYING
by Tom Lineaweaver

There are several so called Country stations near me. I don't listen to any of them, because what they play is not Country. One even advertises themselves as, "Pennsylvania's Country Leader." Whether they call it, "Today's Best Country," or "New Country," if it doesn't sound Country, it is not Country. It's as simple as that.
Country stations, see this...
If you don't play Hank Williams, chances are you are not a Country station regardless of what you call yourselves.
There are several young Country artists that sound Country that get almost no airplay, and you Country stations should be ashamed of yourselves for what you are doing.
If you call yourselves a Country station, you should be playing Country.
Here is a sample of today's best Country...

If you as a Country Station already play this music, please let me know, and your station will go on our promotion list.
Country Frame of Mind Promotions is all about promoting Country music, not that slop that's being called Country music.
As George and Alan sang "someone killed Country music, cut it's heart and soul." Well, it's high time for a resurrection of Country music that sounds like Country music.
I have loved Country music most of my life. In the last 20 years or so, there hasn't been a radio station I can listen to when I'm in a Country frame of mind. I have to go to the internet. Can't do that in my car. Well, that's going to change. It might take a couple years, but there will be a time when some radio station somewhere will play Country that sounds Country. And that station will have more listeners than those other so called Country stations in whatever market they are in.
All across America, there are Country fans that are starving for the real sound of Country music. So it would be wise for Country stations to start playing it again, and stop playing that junk that MTV calls Country music.
KEEP IT COUNTRY!
