Where would George Jones be...

Where would George Strait be...

Where would they all be if they were around today, when Country stations don't play Country music? Can you imagine all the greats never getting airplay? Suppose Country stations played Buddy Holly, Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, The Supremes, etc., calling it Country, and never gave George Jones, Merle Haggard, Loretta Lynn, etc., any airplay?
We never would have heard, "He Stopped Loving Her Today," or "Okie From Muskogee," or "Coal Miner's Daughter." There never would have been a movie called, "Coal Miner's Daughter," starring Sissy Spacek.
This is exactly what Country stations are doing. Amber Digby is a musician's daughter. She could write a song about it, but who would ever know? Will Banister is every bit as good as Alan Jackson. How many people know that? All because Country stations today are playing Rap and Hip-Hop with a Southern twang, or just plain Rock, and they call it Country. They're not playing good Country, and there is a lot of it out there. But most in America have no clue because Country radio stations are not playing Country music. They really should be charged with fraud.
So, where would all the country greats be today? Nowhere, because Country stations today wouldn't play them.
Think about it.
