CONWAY TWITTY by Tom Lineaweaver Conway Twitty was one of the first Country artists whose band used electronic instruments. The Twitty-birds were as much of Conway Twitty's success as he was. Their sound was unmistakable. You can hear what I'm saying in the song, "Lost Her On Our Last Date." My favorite song is "Fifteen Years Ago."
Conway Twitty and the Twitty-birds had a very unique sound, which I have never heard duplicated. And probably never will. Let's face it, there was ever only one Conway Twitty.
As always, call your local Country stations and tell them you want to hear Country music that sounds like Country music, like these from Conway Twitty...HELLO DARLIN'
FIFTEEN YEARS AGO
THIS TIME I'VE HURT HER MORE THAN SHE LOVES ME
TO SEE AN ANGEL CRY
SHE NEEDS SOMEONE TO HOLD HER (WHEN SHE CRIES)
THERE'S A HONKY TONK ANGEL
HOW MUCH CAN SHE STAND
LOST HER ON OUR LAST DATE
DON'T CRY JONI (with Joni Lee)
LOUISIANA WOMAN, MISSISSIPPI MAN (with Loretta Lynn)
