ROCK STATIONS THAT CALL THEMSELVES COUNTRY

For months, ever since I started Country Frame of Mine Promotions, I have been seeking radio stations that play Country music with the idea of promoting them, letting people know where they can get Country music. That's how I found Pure Country C-106... cfm-promotions.freeforums.net/thread/78/pure-country-106-1
Today I listened to a few seconds of two stations. 106.7 KJUG Country, and KIX 100.9 Pioneer Valley's Country. A few seconds per station was enough to know the programmers of those stations don't know the difference between rock and Country.
I will be 61 in May, and I have listened to Rock stations and Country stations. Most of today's Country stations are Rock stations that call themselves Country. In fact they play harder rock than what I listened to growing up.
I don't know if these radio station programmers are just plain stupid, or if they are just rolling with the flow, or if they just don't care. Or maybe it's a combination of all three. Whatever the case may be they sure don't know the difference between Rock and Country, which makes them seem stupid to me.
These stations are playing this as Country....
Why is that Country and this isn't...
They are playing this as Country....
This sounds more Country...
The Rock I listened to as a teenager, some songs had more of a Country flair to them than what is being played on today's so called Country stations, which again tells me Country radio programmers don't know the difference between Rock and Country.
If it was up to today's Country radio programmers, they would have played everything by Olivia Newton-John, not just her Country songs, like...
Today's Country programmers would play this too...
Let's face, today's Country programmers haven't a clue what the difference between Rock and Country is.
Or maybe I'm wrong. Maybe there isn't a difference. After all without Country music there never would have been Rock 'n' Roll. However, in time Rock 'n' Roll left it's Country roots, and became something altogether different. And, today's Country programmers don't know that difference.
Now this is Country...
Now, I do like Rock, but not as much as Country. And when I'm in a Country frame of mine, I want to hear Country music. But I do still get in a Rock 'n' Roll frame of mind. But when I want Country music, that's what I look for.
Today's country radio stations don't even play good rock. Give me Elvis Presley and Roy Orbison. Give the Jackson 5 and the Osmonds. Give me America and Firefall. Give me the Little River Band and Chicago. Not this junk Country radio plays. What they play isn't good Country or good Rock.
This is good Rock...
A lot better than Florida Georgia Line or Rascal Flatts, neither of which are Country, and they're lousy Rock too.
Okay Country programmers, is it time for you to learn the difference, or are you too stupid to learn. What you guys are playing really isn't good music at all, no matter what you call it. And I don't care if Sean Hannity likes it, he's an idiot.
You guys are misleading the people of this Country that what you are playing is Country music, but it's far from it. It is some of the lousiest music I have ever heard in my 61 years on this planet. But you keep playing it. Eventually there will be more stations like Pure Country C-106, and they will win in the ratings. Pure Country C-106 has a huge worldwide listenership, because no one is doing what they are doing. People like that down home atmosphere on the radio. And they are the only station I can find that does it.
