COUNTRY FRAME OF MIND PROMOTIONS REVIEW

This Saturday, April 1, 2017, Country Frame of Mind Promotions will be 6 months old. So, I thought it's time for a review.
How it came about? Well, I was having a really rough time, so I did what I often do to make me feel better. Listen to Country Music. Then I shared what I was listening to with my friends on Facebook. I asked one of them if he noticed I've been in a Country frame of mind. I thought, what a name. I had a Facebook group for Country music. In August of 2016, I changed the name of it to "Country Frame of Mind." www.facebook.com/groups/827736420660254/
I have a forum site called "Our Lifebook." There is a Music category and one of the topics was Traditional Country Music. Near the end of September I changed the name to "Country Frame of Mind." Then this was posted on the 29th... ourlifebook.freeforums.net/thread/188/country-frame-mind

In those days I worked hard establishing Country Frame of Mind Promotions. On October 1st I opened a Page on Facebook... www.facebook.com/countryframeofmind/

It was a song I was listening to. Everyday, several times a day. I just fell in love with this song.

At first Country Frame of Mind was a way for me to share Country music. I've been doing that for some time. Meanwhile I also made this statement, "If you like Country Music that sounds like Country Music, please call your local Country stations and tell them to play it."
One day I realized I was literally promoting Country music. So, I made it official on October 1, 2016 with the Facebook page.
It wasn't too long when I realized Facebook was too limiting for what I had in mind, and in Our Lifebook I only had one froum. I did more of what I wanted to do. Putting features together, like "Country for Dad," ourlifebook.freeforums.net/thread/154/country-dad

So I started another ProBoards site called "Country Frame of Mind Promotions." But the name was too long for the site address. So I shortened it to "cfm-promotions." Here is the address: cfm-promotions.freeforums.net

There I stated, "Amber is a young artist that is as traditional Country as you can get. In my opinion it's a real shame that very few of today's Country stations play her music. Give a listen and see what you think..." Then posted this song...

Of course, it grew. Sure enough, artists began contacting me. Many were not Country eventhough they called themselves Country. So I began a forum called, "Country Education." cfm-promotions.freeforums.net/board/12/country-education
That way when an artist came to me that wasn't Country I could send them there where they can be taught what Country Music really is.
I never did charge for anything I do. And it doesn't cost me anything, so why charge. Of course I would eventually do a lot more, like put on concerts.
A couple months ago I started doing "Featured Artist of the Week." But then health problems came. Spent time in the Hospital, and had a bad case of Bronchitis. So, now I do Featured Artist without any time limitation.
Eventually I started a "Music Frame of Mind" category. Sometimes I get into a music frame of mind for something other than Country. Also started a "Bluegrass Frame of Mind" category.
The purpose of Country Frame of Mind Promotions is to promote young artists like Amber Digby, Will Banister and others that get almost no airplay. Today's Country Radio plays what they call "New Country," and it really is not close to Country.
Eventually, I started Country Frame of Mind station on Pandora, and on Accu-Radio. I also promote stations that do play Country. You can check that out here: cfm-promotions.freeforums.net/board/9/radio-stations

Now that we are 6 months old, I am going to be looking for ways to do more. Like a Country Frame of Mind radio show. Concerts. Wouldn't mind having a studio where young artists can record their CDs. All would be easier with partners. If interested, please contact me.
America really needs a revival of Country music. There are many people starving for it. And we should do all we can to provide it.
